Not all grammar rules are meant to be followed. Grammar AI that understands some rules are meant to be broken: You have a style and we get that.Writer achieves that for professional writers by providing the following features: Professional users need an AI writing assistant that provides consistently excellent corrections and suggestions everywhere they write online. Why is Writer the preferred Grammarly alternative for professionals?.More content checks than any other writing assistant: In addition to AI grammar and spelling checks, Writer checks your content for:. You can also use Writer with a team, making it easy to share a writing style or set of preferred terminology with a group of people. You don’t talk to your boss the way you do your best friend, and Writer understands that. Built for professional use: Writer is built for the writing we do at work.Artificial intelligence: More content coming here from the answer above.Yes, Writer has a great web editor too, when you want a full-screen, distraction-free editing experience. It works everywhere: A browser extension, Word plug-in and Google Document add-on so that you can take Writer with you everywhere you write on the web. However, unlike most writing assistants, Writer provides some unique features for stronger, better writing: Like many writing assistants, Writer is a comprehensive grammar and spell checker. How does Writer compare to other writing assistants?.Our data is the only data set built specifically for the writing that matters most - the writing that happens at work. The ability to generalize is a real differentiator between grammar error correction systems, including Writer and Grammarly’s.And at Writer, we are very careful about the training data we feed our model, because good data helps the model generalize well. It doesn't just memorize examples, but gets a "feel" for things. We do this millions and millions of times, and the model learns. Then, we would change the verb "write" to the incorrect "writes": Writer's AI writing assistant helps everyone at your company writes with the same style, terminology, and brand voice and tell the model that this is a bad sentence. We might show it Writer's AI writing assistant helps everyone at your company write with the same style, terminology, and brand voice and tell the model that this is a good sentence. For example, we teach the Writer deep learning grammar error correction system to correct subject/verb agreement by showing it many examples of subjects and verbs. Deep learning systems start out with the capacity to learn, and then are trained to recognize patterns by being shown many examples. That's why Writer uses techniques from artificial intelligence, such as deep learning. There are too many ways for the English language to work, so a mostly valid rule could break in some contexts. Even with an army of linguists, you just couldn’t cover all the possible English grammatical errors. There are relatively few always-true, easy rules that can be programmed. However, the vast majority of errors we would want to catch are contextual. This works well when the problem isn't contextual, ie, a rule that says, anytime someone types teh they actually meant the. Most grammar checkers use rules to identify English writing errors and suggest corrections.

Accuracy-increasing mods reduce Concealment. Two unique barrels, allowing higher Accuracy and Stability at the cost of Concealment.Larger ammo reserve than other high-damage pistols.Unique mods include a +4 extended magazine.Has shotgun push functionality, allowing it to shoot guards and civilians into safe positions in stealth. On top of being integrally suppressed, it can still equip barrel extensions.Regardless, it is a versatile sidearm that can serve the roles of stealth as a risk-free shotgun and in loud as a backup when the heist goes loud. However, unlike most pistols in its damage class, it cannot be modified as extensively, especially altering the amount of shots required to kill specific enemies in loud. The Gecko M2 has a respectable base damage per shot of 100 and magazine size of 17, and high base concealment of 29, though middling accuracy of 64, but it can be improved via barrel extensions. Finally, the Gecko M2 is also an integrally suppressed weapon like the Valkyria, permanently silenced, and can always benefit from The Professional and/or Optical Illusions. Additionally, the pistol lacks pellet spread and has more precision with one bullet fired at a time, whereas shotguns may accidentally hit glass, especially when shooting enemies from far away, and potentially fail the heist. This can save Body Bags by pushing corpses out of patrol paths or into safe corners where NPCs and security cameras cannot see them. The Gecko M2 is a unique pistol, being the only non-shotgun weapon in the game to have shotgun push functionality it will push bodies of shot civilians and guards several meters forward of the gun at close range. The Cobalt is a solid, attractive car that gets good gas mileage. It's possible that an 05-07 could have gotten them as an option, but most likely not. I would recommend getting a 2008-2010 Cobalt if you are concerned about the side crash test scores because … they automatically came with side curtain airbags as a standard feature. The issues they have are similar to ones the Cavalier had, which are a cheap front suspension which will most likely require a few repairs, and a few safety issues, namely side crash test scores (poor without side curtain airbags). Overall, I think Chevy Cobalts are good cars. With more than a few competitors offering superior handling dynamics (and hence a higher fun-to-drive factor), greater seat comfort and better build quality, we suggest cross-shopping before making a decision. These SS models are worth checking out, as they promise a more exciting and involving drive.Įxamined in isolation, the non-SS versions of the 2007 Cobalt would be a satisfactory choice for most folks shopping for an economy car, but we obviously don't advise buying a car that way. Standing apart from the other Cobalts, however, are the SS versions, which have more powerful engines (especially in the case of the Supercharged coupe) as well as tuned suspensions with larger wheels. Seat comfort is another area where the Cobalt falls short - although they offer some lateral bolstering, the seats are otherwise flat and offer little in the way of lumbar and under-thigh support.Īs indicated in a 2005 economy car comparison test, the Chevy Cobalt excels in acceleration but loses out in the handling area to more responsive and composed rivals such as the Mazda 3, Civic and Ford Focus. Compared to the interior in the Honda Civic, for instance, the Cobalt's design seems rather bland and its materials low-grade. But buyers in this class are typically more interested in overall quality and a comfortable cabin than a snarling exhaust or racy body styling. And an extensive roster of dealer-installed options like a performance exhaust system and ground effects allow more personalization than most competitors. Even the base model provides peppy performance and a quiet ride. The 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt has more than a few things going for it. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean it's enough to challenge the front-runners.ĭon't get us wrong. And yes, the Cobalt is without question a much better car than the Cavalier. Improvements over the Cavalier in the areas of performance, ride quality, cabin materials and crash tests should have strengthened the position of Chevy's import fighter. The top-of-the line LTZ trim adds fog lamps, traction control, ABS, leather seats, and XM radio, and still comes in just shy of $20,000.Introduced a few years ago as a replacement to the aged Cavalier, the Chevrolet Cobalt presents a much more modern entry in the economy-car segment. The base LS models have a fair amount of standard equipment, including air conditioning with cabin filter, an AM/FM/CD player with MP3 input jack, height-adjustable driver's seat, a tachometer, and a rear 60/40 split bench seat with trunk pass throughOpting for the LT trim can add body color fascias, power windows, mirrors and door locks, an upgraded stereo, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, or cruise control. Optional are Recaro front bucket seats with plenty of lateral support. Most buyers are more likely to choose the less performance-oriented versions, but the Cobalt doesn't disappointment here either. It also comes with four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, an AM/FM/CD/MP3 player, and a large rear spoiler. Along with impressive performance, you also get a modified sport suspension, and wide 45-series tires on 18-inch wheels. This allows the supercharged SS coupe to go from zero to 60 in about six seconds pretty impressive for a sporty car under $22,000. A supercharged version of the 2.4 is available on the coupe only, and is good for 205 horsepower. Choosing the SS version of either model gets you a 170-horsepower bored-and-stroked 2.4L Ecotec with variable cam timing. With three engine choices and four trim levels for each of two body styles, the Cobalt also offers buyers a lot of room for personalization. The standard engine for both the coupe and sedan is a 140-horsepower, 2.2L Ecotec four-cylinder. Based on GM's Delta platform, which also underpins the Saturn Ion, the Cobalt adds a lot of refinements over its Saturn counterpart in both powertrain and chassis tuning. Introduced in 2005 as a replacement for the Chevrolet Cavalier, the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt is in every way a more rewarding car to drive. It also has extensive historical significance with the name. Representative Joe Courtney (D-CT) recalled. HMS Dreadnought was the name of the UKs first nuclear-powered submarine, launched in 1960. The nuclear-powered submarine USS Nautilus (SSN 571) slips into the Thames River on Jan. “The Nautilus was built from used parts a diesel submarine already under construction - liquid holding tanks from a bankrupt New Jersey dairy emergency diesel engines salvaged from a mine sweeper that had spent the last few years sunk on the bottom of a river and a refurbished engine room appropriated from a pre-World War II destroyer,” U.S. It was controversial when the submarine was built in 1951, against the Navy’s wishes by Admiral Hyman Rickover, who became known as “The Father of the Nuclear Navy.” Nuclear submarines have proven to be one of the most effective platforms in the U.S. But it took just two decades to replace the diesel submarines with nuclear ones. Senior Navy leaders, government, veterans and state officials welcomed back the historic ship to her home at the U.S. Navy’s submarine service, it was a half-century old when the first nuclear submarine joined it. USS Nautilus, the world’s first nuclear submarine, has returned to public display after almost a year undergoing a $36 million preservation. Be sure to check the manufacturer’s website for any specific requirements and follow the instructions carefully to ensure a successful setup. It’s important to note that some Bluetooth adapters may require additional software to be installed on your PC in order to work properly. Once you have the adapter, simply plug it into a USB port on your PC and follow the manufacturer’s instructions to pair it with your Dualshock 4. First, you’ll need to purchase a Bluetooth adapter that’s compatible with your PC. If you prefer to use a Bluetooth adapter, the process is slightly more complicated but still straightforward. Your PC should recognize the controller automatically and you’ll be ready to start using it with Pcsx2. Simply plug one end of the cable into your Dualshock 4 and the other end into a USB port on your PC. Using a USB cable is the simplest and most straightforward method. There are two main ways to do this: using a USB cable or a Bluetooth adapter. Hopefully that provides some helpful info, happy to provide any other testing info you need.Connecting your Dualshock 4 to your PC is the first step in using it with the Pcsx2 emulator. Maybe it's just that Qt has a smaller scale baked into it, so anything a little less than perfect will cause this? I compared WX and Qt (at 1.0x axis scale), and noticed in Qt I had to push the stick a fair amount further before 'walking' became 'running'. Like butterbutts said, changing the axis scale seems to be an okay workaround (1.05x eliminated the problem for me on the DS4), but no adjustments are needed on the WX build. SDL and XInput also produce the same results, so it's probably due to how the Qt pad plugin polls the controller? I also tried another controller (newer DualSense) and while the problem wasn't as noticeable, it still occurred occasionally on the down-right direction, so there might be a modicum of controller jank in play as well. Testing seems to indicate the the problem is specific to the Qt build. Character runs in most directions, down-left will randomly flip to walking, down-right will always walk Result: Same as other Qt tests on both SDL and XInput. Enabled both SDL and XInput, used controller auto-config to map SDL and test, then map XInput and test) (fresh install, brand new configs, added my memory card and BIOS file. Result: character runs in all directions, same as other WX tests (fresh install, brand new configs, nothing changed from default except adding my memory card and BIOS file) Result: character runs in all directions, same as previous WX versionĪnd just to be exhaustive and rule out configs being the problem (Pulled existing configs from previous WX install for consistency expected behaviour should be the same as ) Same as previous, just with SDL instead of XInput) (Checked control options: Enable SDL Input Source Result: character runs in most directions, switching to walking randomly with down-left, always walks on down-right (Checked control options: Enable XInput Input Sourceįairly new config, just started it yesterday attempted to match my existing config in the WX build) Running my existing config that has been carried through 3+ years of PCSX2 updates) (Checked control options: XInput, Monitor when in background Wired DualShock 4, running DS4 windows as an Xinput wrapper, calibrated in Windows USB Game Controller optionsĪll PCSX2 installs are portable, no configs buried in User files (Documents, etc)Īctions: Boot game, load save file, multiple slow full 360 motions on left stick Sure thing! Sorry, 'legacy' = the WX build I suppose it's not legacy since it's still being actively developed, I just wasn't sure of the lingo to differentiate between the two (even though it's right there in the download link ^_^ ) OK, now we are getting somewhere - are you able to bisect between this "legacy" build and the current one to find when did it start breaking? Or if it's a Qt build, is the current wx one fine? Your character will run slower than they should. Point the analog stick 45 degrees diagonally.Load a game with a sensitive analog range.Set up a controller using the automatic binding. The issue is probably that Switch controllers have square analog ranges, where the other controllers have round ranges. This happens on Xbox, Playstation, and 8bitdo controllers, but not on Switch controllers. Setting the axis scale to around 1.10x fixes it, but I'm not sure if that negatively effects the analog range in cardinal directions in any games. As far as I can tell this started happening after the UI update. This is most easily seen in the Katamari games where walking diagonally is significantly slower than it should be. In certain games which need you to press the analog stick 100% to the limit to be able to walk/run at full speed, diagonal inputs are being read as slightly too short. Here’s a visual overview of the ingredients required to make this gluten-free artisan bread recipe. Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free: Made with wholesome ingredients (and none of the nasty preservatives or additives that store-bought bread tends to come with), this no knead artisan bread is totally gluten-free and dairy-free, which means that those with Celiac disease, gluten sensitivity or lactose intolerances can also indulge without worries!. One thing is for certain – no matter how you choose to eat it, this gluten-free no knead bread is just perfect. Or use this gluten-free no knead bread to make French toast for a special occasion. Use it to accompany soups or soak up sauces. Super Versatile: Eat this gluten-free artisan bread toasted and spread with jam for breakfast, or as avocado toast for brunch, or make rustic sandwiches for lunch. There’s only one rise required, whereas for normal wheat breads you may have to let it rise again once you punch the dough down after its first rise. No Kneading Required: Since gluten-free flours don’t have gluten, there’s no need to knead because only dough with gluten requires kneading. We’ve made this delicious gluten-free artisan bread recipe 3 times in the past two weeks, and seriously, each time it comes out perfect. With the luxury of time to slow down, relax and return to the kitchen to test out recipes again, I was intent on making a gluten-free version of the perfect artisan loaf.Īfter a few days of research and testing, I finally settled on this rustic gluten-free artisan bread recipe, which is adapted from this sandwich bread recipe from The Effortless Chic. Which is precisely why during this special period, when we have been spending an extraordinary amount of time at home, I’ve returned to baking yeasted bread again. I find that the best time to bake your own bread is when you know you have nowhere to rush to, and that the dough can take all the time it needs to rise. Bread baking generally takes a rather large amount of time (unless you’re talking about quick breads), and the act of baking bread is not something you should attempt if you’re in a hurry or lacking in patience. Nikita Dragun has been targeted with horrific transphobia Hype House member Petrou uploaded a YouTube video on 31 January in which he said he and other members of the collective attended Dragun’s party. Thirty two songs were recorded live with orchestra in three sessions at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, February 7- 9 and March 27th 1956. The original's gatefold gives way to a nicely produced laminated cover box set, with the annotation formerly in the original's gatefold now well-printed in the box's insides. As with previous re-issues from this label, the production spares no expense to do it correctly, including spreading the thirty two songs over three RTI-pressed records instead of the original's two. This release from Analog Spark celebrates the much celebrated album's 60th anniversary. The Gershwin affair yielded an extra version of "Oh, Lady Be Good," while the Arlen catalog produced outtakes of "Let's Take a Walk Around the Block" and "Sing My Heart." As previously mentioned, The Complete Ella Fitzgerald Song Books (1993) received the nod for Best Historical Recording at the 36th Grammy Awards in 1994.Originally released as a double LP back in 1956, Ella Fitzerald Sings the Cole Porter Song Book was both the first of her eight "songbook" albums and the first release on Norman Granz's then brand new Verve Records (MG V-4001/2). Plus, a ten-minute rehearsal with Ellington and an alternate of "Chelsea Bridge" from the same. Particularly worthy of mention are "You're the Top," "I Concentrate on You," and "Let's Do It (Let's Fall in Love)" from Cole Porter. There are a few sides that shouldn't be overlooked, especially as they are otherwise or formerly unavailable. Among them are Buddy Bregman, who worked on Cole Porter as well as Rodgers & Hart the dynamic duo of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn on the Ellington set Paul Weston directed the Irving Berlin entry Nelson Riddle was in charge of the George and Ira Gershwin, Johnny Mercer, and Jerome Kern installments and Billy May held the baton during the Harold Arlen sessions. Readers are also treated to behind-the-scenes insights on the artist's interaction with the veritable who's who of arrangers. The icing on the cake is the newly created 120-page tome that puts both the eight respective songbooks - and their over 240 musical selections - in proper context of Fitzgerald's luminous career. Even going so far as to precisely miniaturize the entire hardbound text The Gershwins: Words Upon Music that accompanied their 1959 collection as well as the booklet that came with the Ellington anthology. In terms of packaging, the producers went to extreme lengths to create exact reproductions of all the vintage LP jacket artwork. The audio contents have been completely remastered and each title has been expanded - wherever possible - to include previously unissued material. In order of their initial release, contained within are Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Cole Porter Song Book (1956), Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Rodgers & Hart Song Book (1956), Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Duke Ellington Song Book (1957), Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Irving Berlin Song Book (1958), Ella Fitzgerald Sings the George and Ira Gershwin Song Book (1959), Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Harold Arlen Song Book (1961), Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Jerome Kern Song Book (1963), and finally, Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Johnny Mercer Song Book (1964). This admittedly pricey - but by all means mandatory - Grammy Award-winning box set is the final word on the "songbooks" recorded by Ella Fitzgerald between 19. Ignore clever gymnastic feats and yards of verbal waffle. Study clips on YouTube: HD or blurry black and white, "grandmasters" or "never-even-heard-ofs". Both of the above depend on being able to have even the vaguest idea of what "It" is in the first place, otherwise you won't know whether your teacher has "It" or not. Don't just copy their movements, follow their instructions and try to intellectually figure it all out move as they move, feel as they feel, remembering that "It" is not so much a "doing" as a "being".ģ. You can learn a lot from other teachers (if you are lucky), including good structure and some of the main principles, and it's possible that, with the right foundation, you might then make the intuitive leap that allows you to experience "It" for yourself, but if you really want to go all the way, it's probably more useful to have a teacher who has "It" so that you can see "It" and sense "It" on a regular basis and, with the right attitude on your part, start to notice and absorb "It" like a process of osmosis.Ģ. So, if you can't buy "It", steal "It", read about "It" or have "It" genetically or ceremonially bequeathed upon you, how do you get "It"?ġ. "It" isn't something that those who "talk the talk" in published works and costly seminars have ever necessarily experienced for themselves, so a library of learned texts isn't going to help that much, and neither are workshops on distant continents, visits to ancient temples and so forth. If a grandmaster has "It", there's no guarantee that his or her sons or daughters will have it too, which makes family trees and lineages a bit irrelevant if you are looking for the real thing rather than something that will look good on your CV. Sadly, "It" is one of the hardest things to put into words, and if you showed it to a thousand students for half a lifetime, only a handful would ever see what you were showing them, so it's incredibly difficult to teach to others. When someone has "It" you can sense it, when you have "It" yourself you never lose it, and if you could bottle "It" and pass it onto others in a fizzy drink, you'd make a fortune. So what is "It"? "It" is that rare quality which you occasionally find among internal martial artists. There's an old saying in the Internal Martial Arts: It doesn't matter who your teacher is or what your lineage is, if you haven't got "It". If a martial artist has "IT", you tend to know about it.Īnother answer is that "IT" matters a great deal, because without it, your Tai Chi doesn't work terribly well as an effective method of self-protection.ĭiscovering "It" - That springy, jingy thingy We could just call it "IT" for want of a better word. Using Chinese words isn't essential if you can think of a suitable name for it in your own language. One answer is that it doesn't matter at all, but only in as much as it doesn't matter what you call it. You can of course, pay a few thousand quid for someone's inner door teaching in an attempt to discover this stuff but then what you receive may be about as reliable as the stuff you get from books, (ie. You may hear different explanations about what jing or jin might be though few books give you much information, those that do may give you mis-information and a recent search of Wikipedia came up with nothing at all. Once you begin to learn about Tai Chi Chuan as a fighting art you will hear the word "jing" mentioned in many different contexts. Many people see Tai Chi as a slow, graceful dance-like exercise and wonder how it could possibly be effective as a martial art - until they feel the power generated by these seemingly "soft" movements or try to attack someone only to find themselves flung off at a tangent or becoming more intimately-acquainted with the floor. |
